The Ritual of Solelichesis is the closely guarded rite by which a single Dragonborn is made from a drop of their Dragon Kings blood, given form and will in a prepared mortal vessel. No witness outside the Taurus fortress-temples has ever seen the full working, and even most Dragonborn only know fragments: a name spoken in a dead tongue, blood burning like molten gold, a breath that is not air. Scholars argue whether it is birth, forging, or possession, but the Dragon Kings do not explain, and those present for their own making remember the moment only as pain, light and a voice calling them mine.
