Lavellor is the name given in surviving sources to the vast city that once surrounded the Shardspire in central Rhaedwyn. In the Age of Magic it served as the capital of The Luminarchate and the seat of the Twelve Sorcerer-Kings, who are said in some accounts to have ruled not only Rhaedwyn but all of Eryndor. Modern scholars agree that it was a true megalopolis, a city of dense wards, high sorcerous infrastructure and monumental architecture built around the Shardspire and the so called Halls of Magic. What that actually looked like in detail is impossible to say. No direct plans survive, and all descriptions are second hand, copied from works written centuries after its fall.
