The Shardspire, or the temple of the Shardspire, was an ancient crystal which occupied the center of Rhaedwyn. In the 215th year of the Age of Cyrathis, it is believe to have been a piece of a Soul-Star that fell upon the continent.
It was in this site that site of the The Dawnsong was sung and that Mythrael and the Gods came into being. At this site, the ancient city of Lavellor was built, as the capital of The Luminarchate was founded and the Twelve Sorcerer-Kings ruled Rhaedwyn, and if some accounts are to be believed, all of Eryndor.
It was also the site of the The Last Battle was fought, when the forces of |the Sorcerer-King Virulan led the army of Ulthrak to battle for the forces of the Endless Night, at the heart of Lavellor. During the battle, Virulan managed to breach through the defences, and through unholy rites lost to time, caused the Shardspire to explode, destroying Lavellor in the process, and killing most of The Sorcerer-Kings.
