In the Old Tongue, Vith’Kalir means Island of Providence. It was said that in this Island at the end of the world, the Gods built a city for those whom they deemed worthy, their Chosen and Hierophants of their cults. Rumour has it that it is a place with an even greater Soul-Star than the Shardspire.

It is said, in one of the oldest fragments of the Library of Sobsia, that: ‘…in an easternmost island, in the dawn of time and when the Shardspire was young and the moon and the stars still were nameless, the God-Machine rested until…”

It is one of the texts that has caused many in Rhaedwyn to debate what exactly is the nature of this ‘God-Machine’, or what truly is the nature of a Soul-Star and if the two are related. It had been mostly settled as a poetic description of the Dawnsong until the recent discovery of the Shattered Reach, and the Hamura speaking of a ‘lost island the gods raised from the seas and built their heavenly city’, with many linking the ideas of Vith’Kalir with this Lost Island of the Hamura.
